Frequently asked questions

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, Mile High Gutter Cleaning is fully licensed and insured.

Why do I need my gutters cleaned?

Besides the obvious eye-sore of seeing a build up of leaves, twigs and debris in your gutters, an overflowing gutter system can cause damage to your roof, fascia, foundation, landscape, and gutter system. In addition, clogged gutters can cause flooded basements, pest infestations, and dangerous ice dams.

How often should i have my gutters cleaned?

We recommend a maintenance routine of having gutters cleaned twice per year, although some homes with many trees require up to four cleanings per year.

How Long Does It Take?

Most homes take approximately 30-60 minutes to completely clean the entire gutter system. Gutters that haven’t been cleaned in years and are particularly full of debris may take longer.

What is included?

We clean all gutter systems by hand or blower and ensure proper flow of all gutters and downspouts. We bag all debris and clean-up anything left on your property.

Important: We clean gutter systems down to the ground. We DO NOT clear underground french drains.

What Areas Do You Service?

The cities we currently service include but are not limited to: Arvada, Aurora, Boulder, Brighton, Broomfield, Commerce City, Denver, Erie, Firestone, Frederick, Golden, Lafayette, Lakewood, Longmont, Louisville, Loveland, Northglenn, Superior, Thornton, Westminster, Wheat Ridge.

Do I need to be home?

We are happy to accommodate busy homeowners who cannot wait at home for service.  We can make arrangements over the phone for what needs to be done and for how much. We will then come to your home, complete our services and if you are not home, leave a receipt so that you immediately know we were there and work was completed.

Do gutter covers actually work?

While there are some brands of gutter covers that are relatively effective at keeping gutter systems clear, they don’t come cheap. And the cost of installation can far exceed what a regular gutter cleaning maintenance routine would cost. In addition, the majority of gutter cover systems just don’t filter out much debris, and if they do it stops the good flow or rainwater into the gutters.

Another thing to consider is that the material most gutter covers are made of just don’t hold up to Colorados constantly changing weather. The bottom line is that even the best of gutter covers will still get debris into the gutter systems that need to be cleaned out in order to prevent clogging. When this happens, gutter covers need to be uninstalled and then reinstalled again, which can be costly. We believe a preventative maintenance gutter cleaning routine is the best option, and we’re here to help with that!
